Did you know that if your dopamine levels are low it will increase your risk of relapsing to an addiction?

Or relapsing to a bad habit you're trying to stay away from.

And even if you're not addicted to anything, yet, low dopamine levels make you more prone to develop an addiction.

So today we are going to take a look at what to do about that.

This is going to be a 2 part video / blog series, where you will discover 8 Healthy and natural ways to raise dopamine.

Why we don't want dopamine levels that are too low...

This could be a real goldmine for you so make sure to get rid of any distractions and stay with me all the way to the end of the two videos..

Ok, there are many reasons why we would want to be able to instantly raise our dopamine levels but for my subscribers the 3 biggest reasons are.

Low dopamine levels increase cravings...

First, it reduces cravings and urges to relapse into bad habits because as you know by now, when your dopamine levels are low your brain will start looking for a quick dopamine fix.

And unfortunately you often find them in unhealthy behaviors like eating junk food, drinking alcohol, fapping to porn and so on.

I know many of my followers are addicted to online porn, and all of you should know that low dopamine levels increase risk of relapsing to addiction. Not just porn, but any addiction you happen to have.

Low dopamine levels increase procrastination...

The second reason is because raising dopamine will instantly, and I really do mean instantly, reduce laziness and procrastination.

So, you can use these activities as a tool to increase your motivation and drive and thus get stuff done so you finally can reach your goals.

Elevating dopamine levels will also elevate your mood...

And lastly, well, simply because it elevates your focus, concentration, libido and mood…

…i.e. you will feel better and life will be easier.

Ok so now, let’s take a look at x ways to instantly increase your dopamine, not to sky high levels, but to normal healthy levels.

#1: Sunshine!

Yes, sunshine instantly raises your dopamine levels, but not only that, it gets even better...

A study on 68 people found that the group that received the most sun exposure in the previous 30 days had the highest density of dopamine receptors in the reward center of the brain.

Now, if you have been watching some of my older videos, you know how valuable this is because an increase in receptors means that you will become more sensitive to dopamine.

Sunshine also increase the number of dopamine receptors...

And that’s  great because this will also give you this long term effect where you need less dopamine to feel the same effects.

It is almost like the opposite of an addiction where you need more and more stimuli to feel the same effects.

And so now you say, “Ok Great, but what if it’s raining?”

I hear you, that sucks, but speaking of that; another study took a look at people who regularly visited tanning beds and they found that tanning sessions also led to significant boosts in dopamine levels.

Now of course natural sunlight is best, but I thought it would be interesting to mention as a side note.

And you have to admit, it's one of the easier ways to fix low dopamine levels in order to reduce relapse risk.

#2  Meditation!

One study took a look at 8 meditation teachers and that study showed an amazing 65% increase in dopamine production compared to just a session where they were resting in silence.

Now, some of you might be under the impression that meditating is just a person sitting there and resting, but this clearly isn’t the case.

65% dopamine release during meditation...

Because a 65% increase in dopamine release is impressive to say the least.

Now, granted, these were experienced meditators, so your dopamine increase will probably not reach those levels, but even if you are an amateur, meditation will still significantly raise your dopamine levels.

So, if you are procrastinating and don’t want to study for that exam, try 15 minutes of meditation first and then hit the books.

#3 Physical exercise!

Physical exercise is great and it will instantly raise your dopamine levels. It will also raise your serotonin levels and not only that but listen to this: it will put them in the right proportion to each other!

Physical exercise is like fine tuning the engine of your car, but for your brain…

…and this is something that is very difficult to do in any other way.

So what kind of physical exercise is best for dopamine?

Well, if we are talking about exercise as a quick tool you can use to boost your dopamine instantly then just taking a 15-20  minute run will do it.

If you can’t run then even a fast walk will help.

And after those 20 minutes you will have significantly higher drive, motivation, focus and all those good things that come with a dopamine boost.

And now you don't have low dopamine levels, making you prone to addiction relapses.

#4 Listening to music!

Listen to your favorite music and dance for a few minutes.

Yes,there are studies showing that  this actually works.

Whenever you need to do something, but you lack the motivation and drive, you can instantly boost your dopamine by putting on a favorite piece of music.

Really crank up the volume and if you want to make it as effective as possible. Dance around in your apartment while you enjoy the music.

Will slow music work as well?

And so now some of you may be saying, "What if my favorite music is slow music?"

It doesn’t matter, it still works!

Slow music and slow dancing also raise dopamine.

Remember the meditation study?

Yeah exactly, it's not like meditation is a fast energetic activity.

Alright, now in order to not make this video too long we will continue with 4 more unusual ways to raise your dopamine levels in part 2.
