Wondering if you can watch porn in moderation while doing NoFap?

Or if you can watch porn in moderation if you have a porn addiction?

Or how about watching porn in moderation during a PMO reboot or if you're on semen retention?

Well, this is what we are going to talk about today.

Let's begin...

Can I watch Porn in Moderation During NoFap / PMO Reboot?

So, if you're doing NoFap, is watching a bit of porn every now and then really bad?

If you're doing NoFap, is watching porn in moderation bad or can it be done?

Well, this is what we are going to talk about today. But before I answer that question, I have to rant a bit about what I see going on with so many YouTubers out there who are hammering home just one message.

Some say it's 100% either this way, and others say it's 100% that way.

The world is not black or white and neither is the NoFap world...

You know, they have complete black and white thinking without taking into consideration that some people just do NoFap as a fun challenge. While others do it because they are seriously addicted to porn.

And then there are guys who are only into NoFap for the retention side of things. And so, you also find everything in between those things.

You have to be flexible when giving NoFap advice...

So, you can't just throw out mindless black and white advice, thinking that will cover the complete spectrum of guys. Where's the flexible thinking there?

I don't think you could get any more narrow-minded, even if you took a course in narrow-mindedness and tried as hard as you could.

Okay, so having said that, which of these statements are true?

And listen up here. Now, I'm going to answer for those who have a porn addiction here. A real porn addiction.

If you have a real porn addiction...

Well, believe it or not, the answer is actually both of those statements are correct.

As I told you in some videos before, it's almost never that first slip or first relapse that breaks you. It's those repeated sessions that so often follow that initial relapse, where it all spirals out of control, that really mess you up.

It's never the first slip that breaks you...

So, if a porn addict could keep it to just one relapse or one evening of looking in moderation, then this statement would actually be pretty accurate.

But the thing is, it's called addiction for a reason.

For most addiction there simply is no 'just one time'

And the thing with addicts is that more often than not, that one time spirals out of control, and before they know it, they've spent 10 days in a row on a bingeing fest.

This is why I hate it when YouTubers give black and white advice, because when they say things like, "Hey, come on, man, one reset every now and then isn't the end of the world,"

The thing is, they are actually right.

And it's also 100% correct that you should not be so hard on yourself if you happen to relapse.

All 100% true.

However, someone who is suffering from a real addiction is already struggling with addiction voices in his head.

You know, those addiction lies trying to get you to use your drug of choice.

The addiction voice in your head is looking for any excuse to act out...

And so, all addicts are already in their weak moments looking for all and every justification they can find to give themselves permission to act out.

And then, when they watch YouTubers saying stuff like that, well, that'll do just fine. For the addiction voice this statement here is full of golden words *see video*.

And so, the addict gives himself permission.

By the way, that happened to me several times during my own reboot.

I fooled myself many times during my own PMO reboot...

I remember one time I had come so far in my recovery, and then I saw someone saying something like that, and I went, "Hmm, yeah, you know, that's right. Just a little bit wouldn't hurt."

And again, that's 100% correct.

But sure enough, addicted as I was, that one evening of 'just a little bit' turned into me being stuck in a relapse cycle hellhole for the following six months.

So, yeah, it is actually true that just once in a while doesn't really hurt.

And it is especially true if you are just doing NoFap as a fun challenge or for the sake of retaining. And if you are seriously addicted to porn, it is still true.

Are you 100% sure that watching porn in moderation will stay on a moderate level?

But then you gotta make damn sure to ask yourself, "Are you 100% certain that that just one time isn't going to lead you to those several months of binge relapses that can make your life a living hell?"

So, yeah, it is also true that just one time can be incredibly devastating just because of that.

I mean, you wouldn't say to your recovering alcoholic friend either, "Oh, come on, just tonight you can have those three, four beers. That'll be no problem."

Alright, I hope that makes sense.
